THE O-BAY-GONE BAND Live in Taipei Taiwan at The Scarecrow Fall 1976 by gary@garylucas.com published on 2020-08-20T18:54:46Z A live concert recording of a young Gary Lucas leading his group The O-Bay-Gone Band (Taiwanese for "The Bullshit Band") during their regulr engagement at Taipei's premiere club for Chinese and foreign hipsters, The Scarecrow, located near National Taiwan University (Taidah). Lucas spent nearly two years resident in Taipei from spring '75 to late Dec. '76, and formed his band with mainstays Swedish ex-pat Jesper Gadelus on rhythm guitar and vocals, Cleveland ex-pat Hank Frisch on blues harmonica, and a Taiwanese rhythm section of Aldo Tsemg on drums and Peter Eng on bass.
